PXI Embedded Controller: The NI PXIe-8881 is a high-performance Intel Xeon W-2245 processor-based embedded controller for PXI Express systems. This embedded controller provides compute and peripheral IO to a modular instrumentation platform (PXI). IO includes: two Thunderbolt 3.0 ports, one Display Port 1.2, two USB 3.0 and four USB 4 ports, two ethernet ports (one enabled for 1588), and serial and GPIB ports. The controller runs Windows 10 applications that interact with external PCIe based instruments.
