PXI Embedded Controller

The NI PXIe-8861 is a high-performance Intel Xeon E3-1515 processor-based embedded controller for PXI Express systems. This embedded controller provides compute and peripheral IO to a modular instrumentation platform (PXI). IO includes: two Thunderbolt 3.0 ports, two Display Port, two USB 3.0 and four USB 4 ports, two ethernet ports (one enabled for 1588), and serial and GPIB ports. The embedded controller runs Windows 10 applications that interact with external PCIe based instruments.
